Italian National Erasmus Mobility

Italian Erasmus Mobility is a national mobility programme established by Ministerial Decree no. 548 of 28 March 2024 and is based on agreements between Italian universities.

The programme enables students to undertake a study period at another partner university within Italy, with full recognition of the academic activities completed.

It is open to students enrolled in Laurea (equivalent to Bachelor of Science) and Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes at Politecnico di Milano, in accordance with the requirements set out in the relevant call for applications and the agreements in place with partner universities.

The initiative aims to:

  • promote student mobility within the Italian university system
  • foster cooperation between universities
  • enhance students’ academic pathways through study experiences in different institutional contexts

During the mobility period, students attend courses at the host university, sit the relevant examinations or assessments, and obtain recognition of the corresponding credits (CFU) in line with the agreed study plan.

The Universities partnered with Politecnico di Milano are the following:

  • Politecnico di Torino
  • Politecnico di Bari
  • Università degli Studi di Trento
  • Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza”

Students submitting an application for the first semester (Semester I) are required to select exclusively courses delivered during the same semester at the partner

institution. Likewise, applicants for the second semester (Semester II) must select exclusively courses delivered during Semester II at the partner institution.

Candidates applying and selected for the first semester (Semester I) will not be permitted to submit a new application for the second semester (Semester II).

Applicants are allowed to apply for only one host university. Submitting an application to one of the listed universities automatically precludes the possibility of submitting another application to the other institutions listed.

Candidates are required to refer to the exams to be taken during the selected semester at the chosen university, in accordance with its academic offer

Participation takes place exclusively through a public call for applications, published each semester on this page. The minimum number of credits, available destinations, participation procedures and the possible allocation of scholarships are defined in the call for applications. Students who are deemed eligible for the scholarship will receive the advance (60%) and final instalments (40%) of the grant by bank transfer to an account held or jointly held by the student, registered on Polimi Online Services > Data > Management of payment methods > add or modify standard payment method.
