The process for applying for a new student visa is done through the Universitaly portal. Non-EU citizens living abroad who are accepted to our Bachelor degree programmes must create an account on Universitaly and submit their visa application.
Politecnico di Milano will confirm the pre-enrolment to the Italian Diplomatic Representative via the Universitaly platform only if the entrance test has been passed and, therefore, the student has the right to enrol in chosen programme.
Deadlines to submit the student visa application on the Universitaly portal for the 2025/2026 a.y.:
You have taken a SAT between 1st January 2024 and 5th May 2025, you've registered it by 6th June 2025 and you are obtaining your diploma in 2025: | by June 12 |
You have taken an English TOLC-I in 2025: | by July 16 |
You are registered to a TOL: | by August 6 |
You are registered to a TOLD: | by July 31 |
You are registered to the Urban Planning interview: | by July 16 |
You are registered or are planning to register to ARCHED entrance test: | TO BE DEFINED |
IMPORTANT: to obtain the validation of your visa application, you must upload in your Online Services (Laurea (equivalent to a Bachelor of Science) and five-year single-cycle programmes: entrance or recovery tests and enrolment > Enrolment documents) your final diploma, if obtained (alternatively, you must upload an enrolment certificate), accompanied by an official translation if not available in English, French or Spanish, plus the detailed grades of the last three years of school accompanied by an official translation if necessary, stamped and signed by the competent office, within the same deadlines foreseen for the visa application.
Classes will be held in presence.

If the visa is denied or not issued by the above date, it won't be possible to continue with the studies. In this case, the amount of the first instalment paid will be refunded.
