Special exam sessions – November 2026

For students who are about to graduate

Who is eligible for the November extraordinary examination sessions?

The extraordinary examination sessions held in November 2026 are reserved for students who meet all of the following requirements:

  • enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year on a master’s degree programme, a five-year single-cycle degree programme or a specialist degree programme
  • holding a ‘complete’ 2025/2026 study plan and lacking only a single exam, whether as a regular student or a supernumerary student, or (placements and the final examination are not taken into account for this purpose)

    Specifically:

    Missing a single ‘regular’ examination
A student who has to sit a single ‘regular’ examination is eligible for the extraordinary examination session. The presence in the study plan of ‘supplementary’ examinations not yet passed does not preclude this possibility.

    Failing just one ‘supernumerary’ exam
A student who has passed all ‘regular’ exams may sit a ‘supernumerary’ exam in the November extraordinary examination session, provided that this is the last and only exam remaining in their entire study programme.

  • are registered for the December 2026 graduation examination session

When the exams take place

For all schools from Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 November 2026.

When to apply for registration

From Monday 28 September 2026 to Monday 12 October 2026, students wishing to do so may apply for registration for the supplementary examination session via the relevant function on the Online Services (the ‘Examination Session Registration’ service). The application for registration made at this stage also counts as enrolment for the examination.

Registration for the December degree examination session is compulsory, starting from 23 October and by the closing date of the registration period for the extraordinary examination, failing which registration for the examination will be cancelled.

When they are published

The dates of the extraordinary examination sessions will be made available by the School Deans’ Offices from Friday 23 October 2026 via the student’s personal page.

When to register for exam sessions

Students who have requested the activation of an exam session do not need to register, as the activation request automatically entails registration for that session.

The exam sessions made available will be accessible, in the usual manner and subject to the usual time constraints, for any new registrations by final-year students who meet all the conditions set out above.

Please note: registration for the November extraordinary examination sessions is open to all students nearing the end of their studies who meet the above conditions. Once the registration period for each examination session has ended, any students who do not meet all the specified conditions will be automatically removed from the register of registered students (for example, in the event of requests to arrange special examination sessions that are not followed by registration for the December graduation examination session).
