How to apply for a programme change
Students already enrolled in a Politecnico di Milano Laurea programme in the School of Design must access the Online Services and click on 'Lauree triennali e a ciclo unico: passaggi di corso e ammissione con carriera pregressa' link in order to switch programmes at the School.
Following this, the application process for an evaluation of your previous academic record will be initiated, which is essential for the recognition of examinations completed in your previous university career (the application procedure is mandatory, even for those who do not seek an evaluation).
Deadlines
You can request the evaluation from 5 May to 14 July 2025 through the Online Services by clicking on 'Lauree triennali e a ciclo unico: passaggi di corso e ammissione con carriera pregressa'.
All academic record evaluations submitted by 14 July 2025 will automatically be considered for placement in the ranking.
If you do not submit a request for evaluation by 14 July 2025, your application will not be considered for placement in the ranking.
The ranking will be published on the School of Design website on 24 July 2025.
Instructions
Using your person code and password, log in to Online Services and select ‘Lauree triennali e a ciclo unico: passaggi di corso e ammissione con carriera pregressa’.
You can request evaluation of your academic record for a maximum of 3 Laurea programmes. You will be required to pay €60.00 for each evaluation request. This fee is non-refundable.
Follow the screens and carefully read the information shown on each page. The application will ask you to request or refuse an academic record evaluation.
This means that your academic record will be evaluated and any courses may be acknowledged in the outcome. Students enrolled at Politecnico will be shown a screen displaying their full academic record as entered. Remember to also include future exams which you intend to take after submitting the request for the academic record evaluation (to do this, use the '+' button next to the course). If your application is unsuccessful, you will not be permitted to sit any exams of your original programme on any of the exam dates following the date of your application.
You may request the validation of exams sat as part of undeclared programmes at other universities during the procedure by clicking on 'modifica/aggiungi titoli' and providing the University and Laurea Programme details, manually adding the details of passing the above-mentioned exams. Click 'conferma' to complete the application for academic record evaluation and to proceed with payment.
This process must be completed for each programme for which you are requesting admission. To request evaluation for three different programmes, you must complete the procedure three times, by selecting ‘Nuova richiesta’ each time.
You will be required to pay €60.00 for each programme for which you request evaluation. This fee is non-refundable. Once Politecnico di Milano has received the payment, the evaluation request will be sent to the Board and can no longer be changed.
The time required to process each evaluation may vary. If you have requested multiple evaluations, the acceptance of one evaluation will automatically invalidate any others. We recommend that you wait for the results of all evaluations before accepting any of them.
Log back in to the application to check the status and outcome of your evaluation request. After viewing the outcome, you must accept or reject it.
If you have accepted the outcome of your career evaluation request, the exams of your course that have obtained OPTIONAL VALIDATION (see the column Optional validation YES with the relative validated exam) may be taken in the appointments scheduled in the 2024/2025 academic calendar, even if they are subsequent to the date of acceptance of your career evaluation request: if passed, they will be validated; if not passed, they will become New Attendances on the new degree course.
If you have entered the merit list, you can proceed with the passage and payment of the first enrolment instalment (the deadline will be published shortly), by downloading the IUV payment slip by accessing Online Services > Tuition fees > last unpaid request, valid as enrolment for the A.A. 2025/2026.
If you have not been placed on the merit list or have not applied for passage by the date that will be published shortly, passage is only possible by passing the Design admission test and any rankings according to the different periods of enrolment.
If you have taken the Design admission test and entered the early phase or standard phase rankings, proceed to the transfer by respecting the deadlines of the enrolment periods of each ranking.
You will be able to pay your first instalment for the academic year 2025/2026 by the date that will be published shortly.
