Renzo Piano Project - Open Day
The Renzo Piano Project presents its spaces in Genoa and Milan for an open day: these are not intended as museums, but as “living archives” that hold models, drawings, images and documents. Such materials narrate past and present projects by Renzo Piano and by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop firm, and, in the Milan spaces, they also illustrate the course "L’artedel Costruire", which the architect teaches at Politecnico.
Through guided tours for the general public, this open day offers a closer look at the materials documenting the work of Renzo Piano and his collaborators, and an opportunity to explore the Renzo Piano Project and its spaces: these are designed to introduce the techniques and secrets of architecture to those who experience it but are unfamiliar with it; to teach the complexities of construction to those who design architecture; and to preserve the living memory of the designing process for future generations.
The guided tours are aimed at adults and young people aged 14 and over.
