Staff Training Week

The International Relations Units and the International Mobility Unit promote Staff Training Weeks, initiatives dedicated to training and the exchange of good practices among staff from European and international partner universities. These activities are part of the University’s broader internationalization strategy, aiming to explore specific topics in depth, strengthen professional skills, and foster new synergies between institutions.

During the Staff Training Weeks, participants will engage in discussion sessions with specialized university staff, group activities, and visits to the University’s various campuses.

2nd Edition: 12–15 October 2026

An International Focus on Student Drop-out.

Data analysis, tools and support services

The 2026 edition focuses on how universities address student drop-out through data analysis, monitoring of students’ academic pathways, and strategic actions aimed at supporting student retention within higher education. Throughout the programme, participants will explore the initiatives implemented by the University to prevent student drop-out and fostering academic success.

The programme is addressed to technical and administrative staff involved in:

  • Data analysis, reporting, and the management and use of information systems
  • Monitoring student trajectories and retention processes
  • Student-facing services, including orientation, onboarding, tutoring and support services

The Staff Week promotes an integrated, evidence-based approach grounded in analyses conducted within Politecnico di Milano and encourages the exchange of practices and experiences among participants.
