AIRIC (Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center) is the center of the Politecnico di Milano dedicated to innovation and applied research in artificial intelligence. Coordinated by the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB) and the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (DIG), it brings together expertise at the Politecnico di Milano and distributes it to public and private organisations wanting to accelerate the introduction of AI in their operating model.

AIRIC is a cross-disciplinary infrastructure that acts as a bridge between scientific research and business innovation. For each project, AIRIC assembles highly qualified profiles, internationally renowned researchers and scientists alongside top software engineers, to develop solutions with strong differentiating value beyond the state of the art, with the resulting intellectual property remaining with the commissioning organization.

AIRIC also serves as an accelerator of skills and professional growth, enabling young technical professionals from partner organizations to work side by side with senior researchers, and offering them the opportunity to apply their knowledge to new and highly challenging problems.

AIRIC represents the meeting point between scientific rigor and project flexibility, essential qualities for effectively addressing real world artificial intelligence challenges, while contributing to the scientific and technological excellence of Italy and Europe.
